POLINA DI GRANDE

Polina Di Grande (Polina Bakanova-Di Grande) is a mezzo-soprano, vocal coach, artist manager, and cultural executive whose professional experience spans performance, artistic development, international artist representation, and the creation and management of classical music projects.

Her career began as a performing artist. In 2004, she made her professional operatic debut as Olga in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin in Moscow. Her subsequent work has encompassed opera, concert, and sacred repertoire, giving her first-hand knowledge of the artistic and professional demands facing classical singers.

Alongside her performing career, Polina developed an extensive practice as a vocal coach and mentor. Her work with singers combines technical development with an understanding of repertoire, interpretation, stage presence, and the practical realities of building a sustainable professional career.

Over the years, her activities have increasingly expanded into artist management and international cultural projects. She is the CEO of Vox Artis, a platform dedicated to classical music projects and artistic collaboration, and works in the management and representation of internationally established opera artists. She also serves in the general management of internationally renowned dramatic soprano Maria Guleghina.

Polina is CEO and co-founder of the Maria Guleghina Meitarjan Charitable Foundation, an organization created to support musicians, foster emerging talent, and develop international cultural exchange. She is also closely involved in the development of the Maria Guleghina International Opera Singers Competition, an international initiative bringing together young singers and leading professionals from the opera world.

Her work encompasses the development of concerts, competitions, masterclasses, artistic collaborations, and cultural initiatives across different countries. This combination of experience on stage and behind the scenes gives her a particularly comprehensive perspective on artist development: she understands the singer’s craft as a performer and teacher, while also approaching careers from the perspective of management, positioning, professional relationships, and long-term artistic strategy.

As a Partner at Meta Artists International, Polina brings this multidisciplinary experience to the agency’s international work. Her focus is on identifying and developing exceptional artists, creating meaningful professional opportunities, building relationships within the international opera community, and supporting careers with both artistic understanding and strategic perspective.

Throughout her work, Polina remains committed to a central principle: that successful artist management begins with a deep understanding of the artist, the voice, and the individual career behind it.
